On that day trial was scheduled for Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. On Aug. 25 Lee Fred Newman appeared on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor. He entered a plea of innocent and trial was set for Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. Also Aug. 25, Thomas H. Balsley, Jr., appeared on a charge of driving during suspension. He entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail. On Aug. 26, Steven Paul Buck appeared on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor. He entered a plea of innocent and trial was set for Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. On Aug. 29, Boyd Given Bryan appeared on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor, committed June 11. The case had been postponed because of injuries; and on motion of the county attorney the charge was dismissed. |
