Show VP A i o 0 J Hanksville Pioneer . . . Hanksville lost its oldest resident, Edna Gibbons Ekker Robison. She passed away Aug. 11 following a short Illness. Born June 1 , 1891 to Charles Albert and Julia Ann Stoddard Gibbons, she married Cornelius Ekker Aug. 28, 1907. To this union were born nine sons and three daughters. They are: Harold C, Horace Edward, Arthur B., Charles Riter, Reba Geneal (Bennett), Darys Fredrick, Glen Stoddard, Julia Marie (Cheskaty), Herbert Bruce, Jesse Gibbons, Gladys Louise (May), and Teddy Cornelius. Her husband passed away March 5, 1952 after a long Illness. She married Harry Phillips Jan. 25, 1953 and he died In 1955. She married Martin Luther Robison in 1957 and he passed away In 1972. She is survived by all her children, 48 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren and three great-great-granddaughters; nieces and nephews (children of her sister Dora Stark) are Walter Roger Stark, Wendell, Idaho; Charles Ralph Stark, Stevenville, Mont.; Nevada Pearl Brown, Areata, Calif.; Julia Chandler, Buhl, Idaho; and Reva Beaver, Santa Rosa, Calif. Funeral services were held Monday at the Hanksville Ward Chapel at 1 p.m. under the direction of Grand Valley Mortuary, Moab. In lieu of floral offerings the family asked that memorial donations be made to Allen Memorial Hospital at Moab In Mrs. Robison's name. |
