Show Moab Police Report Activities for Week A number of acts of vandalism, as well as two wrecks were reported re-ported by Moab City Police Po-lice this week. On April H, Golda J. Maberry, drivinga I9I57 Ford pickup ran off the road on Mill Creek drive and hit a propane tank belonging to Jerry Ho-fer. Ho-fer. About $(!()() damage was reported to the truck and the tank was badly smashed. The incident is still under investiga -lion ;ind citations are pending. An accident in backing occurred on April 9, on Fast Center Street when Ronald J. Bryan was backing from the curb in front of the courthouse in a 1971 Chevrolet pickup pick-up and hit a lilfil pickup driven by Dee Gardner. Damages of $250 were recorded to the Gardner truck with none to the to the other ehicle. Mr. Brvan was cited for improper im-proper backing. Police Chief Mehin S. Dalton reported that sometime o v e r the w eekend, someone broke into the First Baptist Church and cooked a meal. They also look a tape recorder valued at $fi(). On April 8. someone broke a lock on a HiLand Dairy milk truck and stole a quantity of ice cream and milk, damages dam-ages reported were set at $50. Officers reported that on April 6, two windows were broken at the Robertson Rob-ertson Bros. Chevron building and on that same night one of the doors of the Holiday Theatre was broken. Vandalism at the Old Post Office building was reported on April 6, when some numbers were removed ' from doors on the offices in the building. Also on the 5th, a distributor was taken from a car belonging be-longing to Howard T. Young. The equipment was valued at $60. Several beehives were tipped over on April 8, causing damage to the hives and killing some of the bees. The hives belonged to Howard Shields. |
