Show Devils Vin Holiday Tournament Now Await League Opener With hot shooting, lefty, Steve Wyatt, leading the way the Moab Red Devils WTap-ped WTap-ped up victories seven and eight without a loss and basketball bas-ketball tourney this past week. The Devils barely squeaked squeak-ed by Altamont 71-70 on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, then disposed of Uintah 5S-48 for the trophy. Wyatt added another trophy when he was named "Most Valuable Player" for the four team tourney. All the junoir forward did was score 36 points in the overtime win over ov-er Altamont and 27 in the decisive final. The MVP decision de-cision wasn't hard to make for the tourney sponsors. Moab had their worst scare of the season in the opening game against Altamont. An eight point lead at halftime evaporated during a dismal third quarter when Altamont outscored Moab 22 to 11 Only Wyatt's eight points and Von Isaman with three kept the Devils alive. At the end of regulation play, the score was knotted at 64-64 and J:he perfect preseason pre-season record of the Red Devils appeared to be coming to an end. Moab did not score a single field goal in the overtime. ov-ertime. But the Devils did make the most of their chances chan-ces from the foul line. The championship game was all Moab. With Wyatt hitting 19 points in the first half, Moab raced to a ten point lead.
