Barks in marriage. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley E. Heist of Sterling, Colo., and the groom is the son of Mrs. Goldie Barks of Moab. Rev. Emil M. Balla performed the ceremony. cere-mony. The bride wore a floor-length floor-length gown of peach satin backed crepe which was accented ac-cented by bell sleeves. Her ensemble was accented by flowers which she wore in her hair. She carried a bouquet bou-quet ef orange rosebuds and white carnations backed by olive green net. Attending the bride as matron of honor was her cousin, cou-sin, Julianne Thurston who wore an olive-green A-line gown of satin backed crepe. Her bouquet was of orange rosebuds and white carnations carna-tions with a peach colored background. The brother of the groom, Alan Barks of Farrnington, New Mexico, attended the groom as best man. Ushers for the ceremony were Ron '' Carlisle and James Heist. At the reception ' which followed fol-lowed the ceremony, the Fellowship Hall of the church was accented by the- bride's table which featured a lacs tablecloth made by the groom's grandmother, Mrs Beth Allen of Moab. The bride's cake was three tiers decorated with white scallops and orange, yellow and peach roses. It was topped by doves and wedding bells. The mother of the bride wore an orange crepe sheath while the groom's mother was attired in a brown knit street length sheath with elbow el-bow length lace sleeves. Both were presented with corsages of orange rosebuds. In charge of the guest book was Laurie Newell with Janie Heist, Elda Sarten, Helen Newell and Patti Bisco in charge of gifts. The reception was under the direction of Barbara Heist, Shauna Newell, New-ell, Oleen Barks, and Dianne Dickerson. ; Wedding cake, punch, caf-fee, caf-fee, mints and chocolates from Germany, a gift from the groom's uncle, Major (Ret.) Charles W. Allen of Munich, Germany, were served serv-ed the guests. Attending the wedding from out of town were Mrs. Jane Norris, Evergreen, Colo.; Mrs. Margaret Elsberry and 'Elaine Elsbery of Aurora, Colo.; Mrs. Esther Fairchild of Peetz, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Alan Barks and family from Farrnington, New Mexico; Mrs. Pat Sutherland and son from Montrose, Colo.; Julie Lafler, Peetz, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thurston, Magna, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. (Dan Plotts, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. ' Allen, Montrose, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley E. Heist- and daughters, Sterling, Colo.; James E. Heist, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Bill Heist, Ft. Ri-ley, Ri-ley, Kansas. |
