Show City Budget Hearing Scheduled A public hearing for the proposed 1975-76 general fund budget for Moab City will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 17 in the City Council Chambers. A flexibility factor has been built into the proposed budget in the amount of $43,117 estimated revenues over estimated esti-mated expenditures for the coming year. Revenue total is $547,056, including some $56,648 available avail-able surplus monies from this year's budget. Revenues come from property tax, Utah sales tax, franchise tax, business licenses, building permits, liquor control allotment, allot-ment, city services, refuse collection, swimming pool, fines and forfeitures and miscellaneous other. Total expenditures for the coming fiscal year are budgeted budg-eted at $503,939. Departments and budgeted expenditures are as follows: administration, $72,800; city court, $27,908; elections, $3,000; police, $79,-503; $79,-503; liquor control, $13,950; inspection, $12,328; animal control, $9,405; flood control, $2,000; street department, $99,425; waste control, $80,-500; $80,-500; swimming pool, $15,920; parks department, $22,250; street assessment, $53,000; and miscellaneous, $11,950. At the budget hearing, comparisons with revenues and expenditures for the current year will be available, and all interested citizens are urged to attend to ask questions or present comment. |
