Show GETS 30 DAY JAIL TERM FOR DRIVING WHILE john jackson of thompsons Thomp sons pleaded guilty today in the court of 0 L christensen justice of the peace to a charge of driving a car while under the influence of intoxicating liquor he was sentenced to serve a term of 30 days in the county jail at moab and has already commenced serving the sentence it Is alleged that mr jackson on tuesday evening while intoxicated recklessly drove his car in the rear yard of the midland telephone building at thompsons Thomp sons crashing into a clothesline clothes line which was attached to the building mrs edith dubois thomp sons telephone operator fearing her children who were playing around the house would be run over ran out of the building it Is charged and was struck by the clothesline clothes line which had become fastened to jackson s car it Is charged that she was dragged tor some distance and when the clothes line broke she was hurled violently to the ground sustaining numerous bruises and injuries mrs dubols was brought to moab yesterday by her brother J W corban for treatment of her injuries |
