Show NEW GRAVELED ROAD OPENED SATURDAY TO AUTO TRAVEL the sixteen miles of new federal aid highway between cisco and the colorado state line were opened to travel last saturday although some additional surfacing remains to be done and several bridges have not been completed the opening of the road was hastened by reason of the heavy storm which made it virtually impossible to travel the old road bridges over westwater creek and coal canyon have not been finished but will be within a few weeks contractors on the colorado stretch of road between mack and the state line have begun operations in earnest and in about two months that section will be completed graveling of the project between sagers and whitehouse on the thomp sons cisco road has been completed but the bridges will not be ready tov several weeks yet when this stretch of road Is opened the entire federal aid highway from thompsons Thomp sons to the colorado line will have been completed |
