Show MANY ATTEND LAST RITES FOR funeral services were held friday morning from the L D S chapel for J A oss elmer who died at moab tuesday after a brief illness there was a large attendance of sorrowing friends and the wealth of floral tributes attested the genuine jlove with which mr elmer was held by the community the services were presided over by bishop W D hammond the opening number was a bynm how gentle gods commands by a double mixed quartet followed by the invocation by loyd somerville A duet lead me gently home was sung by V P walker and L L taylor the speakers were H W balsley and bishop hammond each of whom highly eulogized mr elmer for his many generous and lovable traits of character his death they said was a deep shock to an army of friends the quartet sang abide with me tol lowyd b HIP benediction by C L christensen scores of cars accompanied the funeral procession to the cemetery at the grave the quartet sang god be with you and prayer was offered by D A johnson four of mr elinore five children came from california and arizona to attend the funeral arriving thursday night they wera mrs thomas oconnell of phoenix ATIZ mrs V R bush monrovia calif lee elmer of ventura calif ho was accompanied by his wife and john A elmer of los angeles arthur elmer of pasadena calif was unable to come |
