Show mai news QS issa the woman s literary club met thursday at the club rooms twenty two members were present mrs R it dalrymple was a guest the lesson which was very interesting was given by miss helen taylor who had secured a copy ot of a painting by la farge which added greatly to the lesson whitney hammond played a piano solo and billie graham and whitney hammond rendered a piano duet A delicious lunch was served mrs lester walker took mrs knot knox pattersons Patter sons place as hostess assisting mrs W 1 D hammond mrs patterson will give the lesson on april 25 dealing with two american artists william chase and john S sargent mrs J T learning vice president will preside during the ab ence of mrs J W shepard president the hostesses will be mrs 0 V riordan and mrs 0 A loveridge delegates were selected to attend the thirty sixth annual convention of the utah state federation of women s clubs which will open thursday april 18 at I 1 p m at the hotel eccles in logan mrs J W shepard president of the woman s literary club mrs R n I 1 L kirk and mrs J L dougan will represent the local club mrs claude foy president of the rebus rota club and mrs 11 loyd hanen of monticello passed through moab tuesday en route to the convention mrs J W palmer president of the eastern district who was to give the response to the address of welcome given by E G Q peterson president of the utah agricultural college will not be able to attend the convention on account of her school duties at monticello mrs C A robertson vice president of the eastern district was unable to go to logan and the district will be represented by mrs claude poy foy of monticello the convention will close saturday april 20 |
