Show HAROLD PIONEER R C dark this week received a letter from W E shaldon for a number of years a resident of moab and now living at st louis stating that harold carlisle pioneer cattleman of southeastern utah died recently at his home in st louis mr carlisle was over 80 years old he had been very feeble tor several years and recently suffered a stroke of paralysis which proved fatal mr carlisle s wife died last january harold carlisle was one of the first men to engage in the cattle business in southeastern utah on a large scale he owned a large ranch north of monticello which was headquarters for his outfit ard for years he employed a carpp number of cowboys later he PP bartner oart ner W E gordon were in sheep business mr f ale sold out his interests ard moved to st louis about twenty ago W E sheldon who wrote to mr dark regarding the death of mr carlisle was located at moab for several years doing engineering work on the proposed spanish valley reclamation east of moab he Is now connected with the bell telephone system carroll J meador local real estate and insurance urance is man left today on r business trip to salt lake city |
