Show DEATH CALL COMES TO JOSEPH WELL KNOWN MOAB MAN SUCCUMBS TO ATTACK DROPSY FOLLOWING ILLNESS OF SEVERAL MONTHS joseph hindman 53 years of age a resident of moab for twelve years died early monday tn lorning at his home here following an luness extending over several months mr hindman was a sufferer from dropsy and other complications for the past year or tolore his health had been poor and about two months ago he became bedfast careful nursing and medical attention fl lied to alleviate his condition and he grew steadily weaker the end coming monday morning funeral services were held bues tues iday afternoon froim the goodmen woodmen hall under the laiu spices of the inde pendent order of odd fellows of which mr hindoian Hind nian was a member there was a large attendance of sorrowing friends and a ar ray of floral offerings the opening prayer was offered by L christensen and the speakers were bishop W D hammond and H W balsley A choir several selections and a solo was rendered by miss ida flet cher the odd fellow funeral ritual was used at the hall and at the camle tery the speakers at the services told of their acquaintance with mr hindman tend highly praised his character saying that tho community had lost a higly respected and valued citizen in his passing joseph hindman was born at CST thage illinois august 28 1874 when a young man he caroe west to colorado and spent many years at denver and in the mancos section he came to miteb about twelve years ago and had resided here since then following his trade as a miner six years ago he married mrs millie dark air is survived hur bi his widow one daughter josephine four years of age a brother bert hindman of mancos and a sister mrs myrtle of pagosa springs colo joe wag a man who was respected by all who knew him he was scrupulously and attended strictly to his own affairs he gamed hund erds of frends throughout southeastern utah and the news of his deaha brings general sorrow throughout this entire region |
