A club is being celebrated today at the clubhouse on East South Temple street at 1 This marks the first anniversary to be bo celebrated celebrated cele cele- by a breakfast In the club home and the handsome auditorium Is decorated decorated decorated deco deco- rated throughout in the patriotic col col- col- col ors The reception room where the president Mrs airs Ira D. D Travis and the theother theother theother other club officers receive the guests has a large silk American flag draped over the fireplace The auditorium Itself it itself itself It- It self is set for fOI the occasion with long tables seating guests with a cirI circular cir circular cir cir- I cular table for the president in the center This table holds as the centerpiece centerpiece cen ceo a large white enameled basket filled with violets and entwined around the handle are red sweet peas and pure white narcissus On the outer edge of the table are one fotty-one electrically electrically electrically elec elec- lighted tapers in red red white and blue with smilax festooned about them and four white doves perching upon the basl basket et edge The other tables have red white and blue electric lights strung through the center festooned with ropes of smilax and on either side I are small white enameled baskets filled with the violets and the red sweet peas and white narcissus on the han han- dle die Mrs L. H Lawson as Washington The second picture The Declaration of Independence I was introduced by Master Lyndon Snow in a recitation Ring Grandfather Grandfather Grandfather Grand Grand- father Ring and the picture seen was Mrs Laura Parsons as the old grandfather grand grand- I f father ther ringing the Liberty bell while a fife and drum corps of young Colonial Colon Colon- ial boys played and Mrs E. E A. A Smith sang The Battle Cry of Freedom The Colonial boys were represented by Gerald Da Daynes Jack Owen Covey Henry Armstrong Floyd Knickerbocker and Harold McAllister The third picture showing Freedom I and Liberty Neer Liberty Neer Shall the Children I of Columbia Be Slaves Mrs C.
