Show COMMERCIAL CLUB OPPOSED TO STRIKE At a special meeting of the board of govemora of the Commercial club, held late yesterday afternoon, the board want en record as being opposed to any strike of tha shopmen of the Rarrlman system, ss It is felt that such a strike would result re-sult In great damage to all concerned. Tha board adopted the following resolution, resolu-tion, copies of which will be sent tn the shopmen snd ths officers of the Harrl-man Harrl-man system: Wheress. The Commercial club of Rait I-ake City has at all times Jealously gusrded the financial, business busi-ness and Industrial interests of tha Iniermountaln west; and Whereas. This organisation has been ever mindful of the Interests of the laboring classes and haa been Instruments! In-struments! upon msny occasions In bringing about a satisfactory settlement settle-ment of labor difficulties, and Whereas, n ths opinion of thl board of governors a strike at this Urns would be a public calamity and a blow to labor from which It could not recover tn yeara to come; and Whereaa. The country is. Just recovering re-covering from a period of depression snd Is emerging Into prosperity and advancement; be It ... Resolved. By the board of governors gov-ernors of tha Commercial club, that a labor airlke at the present time would do Irreparable damage to ths business Interests, to the railroads and ta the laboring men themselves; And be It further .
