Many Seek Position Ar Carnegie Tech PITTSBURGH, Jan. 10 UPI A half dozen applications for the coaching job at Carnegie Tech reached Athletic Director Clarence Overend within less than 24 hours after Bill Kern resigned. The first came, from Claude l Tinyl Thornhlll, former Pitt star, who recently was dropped a coach at Stanford. Dr. Eddie Baker, Kern' chief assistant for three years, is regarded regard-ed as the leading candidate.
