An order has come to hand from Secretary Wilson at Washington advising ad-vising the local union that the government will not tolerate a demand de-mand for recognition from any union which bad not applied for and received re-ceived such recognition before this time. OFFI .ERS' OPINION. According to officers of the union, a walkout is very unlikely m view of the order from Washington. On the other hand, the employes are Inclined to obey -the Instructions from Wash-; Ington and to trust to the best pos- ;sihle compromise with the company officials at this time. ! The stand taken by the company employes waa one for recognition as -a union and an understanding on wxe scales and working conditions. |
