Delaney had previously eliminated Kirk Stephens, 1SSS runner up, while in a surprising upset Rheim Jones downed Gordon Ollies, University Uni-versity of Utah champion. Ruth Crow won the feminine championship, defeating Marion Cinta of the University of Utah, 21-1S, 21-18, after winning over Marilynn Groesbeck 21-17, 21-13. Miss Conta defeated Mrs. Ella Frampton 21-13, 16-21, 21-13 in the semifinal. A large gallery was present through the meet, which was directed di-rected by Ross Sutton. A permanent perma-nent organisation for table tennis wss created and officers elected include in-clude Allen Hodgson of Salt Lake City, as president; Bud Aven of Bingham, as vice president; Peggy Meagher of Salt Lake City, as secretary-treasurer. |
