Show HEARING OPENS III AUTO DEATH Preliminary hearing for J. W. Anderton, 32S Fifth East street, charged with Involuntary man-slaughter, man-slaughter, started Mondsyjbefore City Judge a P. Levorlch. The defendant is accused In connection con-nection with a truffle accident last November 4 at Eighth West and Second South streets. An automobile driven by Mr. Anderton and another an-other driven by J. M. Randolph. (OS East Fourth South street, collided. Murray O. Randolph, M, (OS East Fourth South street, passenger in the Randolph car, was fatally Injured In-jured and died November 10. The driver of the Randolph oar also is charged with involuntary manslaughter and is slated to be given a hearing nextweek. provides for a 40-hour week and a 66-cent hourly minimum wage for all workers employed by any governmental gov-ernmental agency In the state on Utah highways. Pett, Eureka, constitutes consti-tutes the Industrial commission a labor relations board to arbitrate induetrial disfiatis. gives labor the right of collective bargaining, prohibits pro-hibits unfair labor practices on the part of employers and provides for appeal to the state supreme court from the rulings of ths board. Termed unfair labor practices in the bill are interference with or coercion of employes in connection with their membership In labor organisations; or-ganisations; interference with administration ad-ministration or formation of any labor organisation; discharge or other discrimination against an employe em-ploye who appeals to the labor relations re-lations board; refusal to bargain collectively. For the purpoee of collective bargaining, bar-gaining, the act designates the representatives rep-resentatives of a majority of the employes in aa industry as negotiating negotiat-ing group for that industry. |
