Show HE TALKED YITH YOUNG Witness in Custody Who Tramped With Alleged , Murderer. NEW YORK, Jan. 23. Though- weakened weak-ened In the disappearance of Pulitzer, the husband of the murdered woman, the prosecution In the case, of William Hooper Young' of Salt Lake, has obtained ob-tained a strong witness m James W. Cunningham, who is lodged . in the House of Detention.- While tramping through Connecticut last September he encountered Yoongf, who was attempting attempt-ing to make his escape in the guise of a tramp. The two traveled together for several days, Young talking quite freely to his-companion. Cunningham will be used if the defense of insanity is. attempted at-tempted in behalf 6f Young, to prove the mental condition of the defendant before his capture. John F. Mclntyre has been employed by the Salt Lake City relatives of Young to defend him. Mr. Mclntyre is associated with .William M. 8. Hart who was first brought into the case. |
