Show J:Int Session , Will Ee Held Vedncsday Keen and Smcot Will Ee Given His Certificate The election of Apostle Reed Smoot to the United States Senate will be begun In each branch pt th Legislature at : tomorrow, "and will be completed in the joint session which will be held Wednesday noon. - After the formal opening of the sessions ses-sions on Tuesday, balloting for a United States Senator will be the chief order of business. The manner of voting is prescribed by Federal statute and must be viva voce. On rollcall each Senator Sena-tor and Representative will make a declaration of his choice. The joint session will be held that each house may be Informed of action of the other. After the assembling of all the legislators in the House chamber cham-ber a reading of the Journal of the previous pre-vious day's proceedings in both the Sen ate and House will be had and the candidate can-didate who has received a majority of the votes cast in each house will be declared de-clared by President Allison of the Senate, Sen-ate, who will preside over the Joint assembly, as-sembly, to have been chosen United States Senator. .- Then a committee from each house accompanied by Gov. Wells and a Justice Jus-tice of the Supreme court will wait upon up-on the successful candidate with the information in-formation that he has been elected. The apostle-fienator-elect will be presented pre-sented to the members in Joint session and given an opportunity to address the Assembly. The making ;out of a certificate of election signed by Gov. Wells and the officers of both houses and sealed with the seal of the State will complete the formalities and the Senator-elect is then ready to present his credentials to the United States Senate.
