Dinwoodeys furniture building on West First South street will soon be in line with consumers, and the managers of the Eagle, Progress, Auerbach. Mo-Comtek Mo-Comtek and Dooly buildings have had their engineers at work for several days remodeling the plants ' preparatory to installing the stokers.-- f Among those who come within the limitations of the ordinance but who have taken no steps to comply, are the Rio Grande Western Railway company, Ford's hotel and the Constitution, Commercial, Com-mercial, D. F. Walker and Atlas blocks. There are a number of small steam plants In the city which are of less than 50-horse-power, and which' cannot be reached by the ordinance. Any one or two of these would not make a great deal of smoke, yet when taken together send up a considerable volume. The Utah Steam' laundry feeds its furnaces so scientifically that very little smoke emerges from its stack. Others that are below 50-lorse-power, that cannot can-not be reached by law, are the Man-ltou Man-ltou hotel, the Board of Trade building, the Whlttingham block,-. the Nauvoo block, the Empire Steam laundry and the American Linen and Supply company. com-pany.
