Show SMALLPOX VICTIM ATTENDS A DANCE It Is possible that smallpox may attack at-tack a number of persons In the northwestern north-western part of the city as the result of a young woman victim of the disease attending a dance after, the disease had broken out on her face and hands. Miss Harman of 135 North Sixth West street had a peculiar rash on her face and hands a few nights ago, but thinking think-ing tjiat nothing serious was the matter, mat-ter, attended a dance. She became worse in a few days and a physician was called. He diagnosed the case at once as smallpox. The following two days John Selley, a musician, who played at the dance, and who lives at 335 North Third West street and a young man named Morris were both taken to the Isolation hospital suffering with the disease. Two more cases as direct results of the dance were reported yesterday. They are Edwin F. Fletcher of 250 North Sixth West street and Joseph 8. Edwards. Ed-wards. 721 West Third North street. All the cases are mild and no fatalities are looked for. |
