The littlest girl was disconsolate because she" had no hymn book when the services In St. George's Episcopal church opened with the singing of hymn No. 421. She sat in the pew directly behind that occupied by, J. Plerpont Morgan. The choir had sung one verse of the hymn and during the interval preceding the second Mr. Morgan heard the littlest girl say In a plaintive whisper: "I have not got any hymn book." Mr. Morgan quickly turned to the littlest lit-tlest girl and extended his hymnal, which she took with much dignity. A moment later Mr. Morgan heard the sweetness of the littlest girl's voice as she sang, "Lead Us, Heavenly Father, Lead Us" with the choir. |
