Show BIG PARADE IS PLANNED Committee to Arraagc for RosscYCirs Entcrtaii-ment Entcrtaii-ment Is Appointed. A meeting of the chairmen of the various committees that are preparing for the reception of President Roosevelt was held in Mayor Thompson's office late yesterday afternoon. The committee on parade will be composed com-posed of United States Marshal Ben Heywood, chairman; John Q. Cannon, Charles 8. Durton, Col. John W. Bubb, Capt. W. A. Mercer and MaJ. Herbert S. Foster of Fort Douglas; M. M. Kaighn, Sam C. Park, Joseph E. Caine, Dr. Henry La Motte. Dr. John F. Crltchlow, A.. G. McKenzie, -TV. D. Van Blarcom, R. H. Channlng, E. A. Smith. Fisher S. Harris, secretary of the Com-, merclal club; D. Elliott Kelly, G. E. Carpenter, J. X. Ferguson, Ben R. El-dredge. El-dredge. James C. Leary. E. H. Canister, Canis-ter, collector of Internal revenue; John S. Branrford. W. H. Dale, Daniel C. Loftus, Glen Miller, L. H. Farnsworth. C. Ira Tuttle. V. F. Adams, Rodney .Badger, Jr., Frank L. Hines and Ben Nevins . ( Marshal Heywood is working on a line of march, but cannot make the announcement an-nouncement until he has some conception concep-tion of the size the parade will assume. One project Is to start east from the Oregon Short Line depot to Main, south on Main td Fifth South, east to State, north on State to Brigham and west on Brlgham to the Tabernacle, where the ranks will be broken. President Roosevelt Roose-velt will review the parade from the Alts club if this line is adhered to. All members of the committee are requested re-quested to meet at the Commercial club at 8:30 o'clock Monday night for the purpose of making a programme and dividing the work. No further notice no-tice of the meeting will be given. The committee on decorations will meet at the offlce of Mayor Thompson on East Second South street. Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock for the purpose of completing plans for the decoration of the city. Tho members of this committee com-mittee are Charles Cottrell, Jr.. chairman; chair-man; Jacob Morltz. Arthur F. Barnes. John De Grey Dixon. John C. Cutler and all the members of the City Council. Coun-cil. The central committee and the various vari-ous committee chairmen will meet In a few days and call upon Mayor Thompson. Thomp-son. The date of this meeting has not yet been fixed. |
