Show CHILDREN ARE SHOWN ACTIONS OF MAD DOG Pupils of High Scbcol Given Object Lesson Regarding Regard-ing Rabies In Animals. MONTCLAIR, N. J.J April 23. Pupils of the high, the grammar and the Chestnut street achoolsat the Invitation of veterinary curgeen of this place, have visited the veterinary hospital conducted by the surgeon to observe the condlton and actions of a rabid dog. The animal under observation was a Valuable Valu-able bird dog, which waa bitten recently and on Tuesday last was attacked with rabies. 1 "My object in inviting the school children." said the surgeon, "J to guard them against future danger. A rabid dog never attracts attention on Its travels. There is no frothing at the mouth, as most people are led to believe, and this fact alone is one reason why I asked the school children to visit the hospital." It was intended to again exhibit the dog, but the animal had to be killed. Between six and seven hundred persons saw the dog. |
