Show Old Game Worked WelL E. C. Smith of Telluride, Colo., who 1 visiting Ogden on his honeymoon, was the victim of a bunko game yesterday In mhlch he lost $70 and a New York draft for $250. Smith went down to the depot and met a stranger who told Smith he was from Telluride. Smith was easily worked with the spring lock game and the two were then alleged to be arrested as confidence men by a confederate who showed a star under his coat. Smith waa searched on this pretext and relieved of his cash and papers and while on his way to the police station was given the slip by his two companions. |
