Show Political Notes- Assistant Cashier Peabody of the Commercial Com-mercial National bank. Councllfnanfe candidate can-didate on the Republican ticket in the Fourth ward, has been made cashier of the Republican campaign committee, e e Joseph M. Cohen, having allied himself with the American party, has resigned his position as storekeeper in the city waterworks department. Mr. Cohen was appointed by Mayor Morris, and after changing his politics, felt that he should relinquish his office ' e Will J. Farrell. the new secretary of the Democratic city committee, was Inducted Into his office this morning and will be found at headquarters until the close of the campaign. Second ward Democrats held a meeting at the city headquarters last evening. The ward was well represented. e Republican candidates and the city committee of the Republicans held a. meeting at headquarters last evening and discussed campaign matters. The Woman's Democratic club held a well-attended meeting at Democratic headquarters yesterday afternoon. The resignation of Mrs. Joseph M. Cohen ns president was accepted, and Mrs. O. K. Groshell was elected by a unanimous vote to fill the unexpired term. The other officers of-ficers of the club are: Mrs. Anna Meier, secretary: Mrs. H. J. Hayward. treasurer; treas-urer; Mrs. K. J. D. Roundy.' corresponding correspond-ing secretary. The executive committee Is made up of Mrs. 6. A. Kenner of the First ward. Mrs. A. M. Rudolph of the Second. Mrs. Elizabeth Y. Budd of the Third. Mrs. E. J. Pearcy of the Fourth. The member of the Fifth ward is to be appointed. e Chairman Ren D. Luce, of the Second ward Democratic committee, lias named W. J. Korth as secretary. |
