Show Mr. Swain served three and one-half years in the navy and is now attending University of Utah. The bride, prior to her marriage has been employed the past two and one-half vears at Hill field. Vivian Wells Becomes Bride of Howard L. Swain A double ring ceremony solemnized sol-emnized in the candlelit chapel of the Community Methodist church amid a setting of potted begonias, ferns and lighted tapers tap-ers in candelabra Wednesday evening, ev-ening, February 12, united Miss Vivian Arlene Wells, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Wells ami Howard Lowell Swain, son of Mr. and Mrs. CI. O. Swain of Seldovia, Alaska, formerly of Copperton. The Rev. A- L, Nor-fleet Nor-fleet officiated. A program of organ music by Edward Heather and a vocal selection se-lection "I Love You Truly" by f4 and Mrs. Walter Abplanalp, accompanied by Kaye Abplanalp, Abplan-alp, preceded the appearance of the wedding party. Mr. Heather uLeo played the wedding march. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of traditional white satin entrain and a fingertip veil of brides illusion il-lusion fastened to a seed pearl tiara. Her bridal bouquet was of roses. Mrs- Noel Hardy was matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Marilyn Wells, Joyce Wells, Colleen Col-leen Creedon and Lois Larson. The five attendants were frock-d frock-d In pastel gowas and carried old-fashioned nosegays. Ring bearers were Michael Ann Creedon Cree-don and Michael Swain. Ushers were Kenneth Ray and Eddie Tobiason. Kenneth WelLs was best man. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner for close friends and relatives was given at Bingham Bing-ham Club cafe. The young couple left for a short honeymoon in Salt Lake City. For her going away attire the bride chose, a grey tailored suit with black accessories and wore a corsage of red roses. The couple plan to make their home in Salt Lake City. |
