G Allen 78 18 E street was arrested by the police last night on a charge charo of assault for an alleged attack upon his biB father and mother who were so 10 severely beaten that the tho father is said to have required tho the services of a physician Curtis Allen ABen was seriously Jy injured in inan inan inan an automobile wreck on tho time morning of September 16 when a machine machino in which he and F. F Free were riding collided col coi with a dairy w wagon on Allen W was S unconscious from tho the of the accident accident accident ac ac- ac- ac for several days and for a time it was feared he would die Free Froe escaped escaped es es- uninjured and was Vas arrested for speeding He was fined 25 and served three days dars in jail for the o offense The automobile in which they were riding had been taken from the garage without without with with- out the consent of the owners According to Mrs Allen AlIen time the young man has acted queerly on several occasions occasions oc oc- oc- oc since the accident and it is thought that tho the Injury has affected his brain The mother also says that these fits of insanity have appeared whenever the father of the boy DOY has come homo home intoxicated which apparently apparent apparent- ly frightens tho the boy and at such times lie he appears to be o out omit t of his mind Mrs Allen Alien says that previous to the tho attack upon her and his father the tho father had come home intoxicated and had bad frightened the boy She had called tho ponce police department and asked them to arrest the boys boy's father so eo that she abe could c calm m the boy an and care tare for him She says that the police d department failed to respond to her call can and a 8 short time later the tho boy was in a 8 frenzy and attacked his parents Injuring injuring injuring in in- juring the father painfully Ml Mrs Allen Alien Uen was waR badly bruised bruise When Whoa Mrs Allen called the police department de de- de the second time Patrolman J. J A. A Egbert and Chauffeur William Hooper responded and took the boy t to the city jail He made no resistance ance and insisted that ho he had not truck struck either his father or his bis mother The boy is held beld in the city jail and probably will bo be examined as to his sanity |
