J Fullmer Salt Lake contractor contractor Wednesday had been named president of the Tahiti mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter Saints He succeeds Edgar B B. Mitchell Logan who ends a year three-year ap- ap nt according to the L D S first p presidency This will be Mr Fullmer's third mission to Tahiti and his second as president He first went to the island in 1905 and was set apart again from 1911 to 1914 He is supervising the tho building pf of of a tabernacle tabernacle tabernacle tab tab- in Tahiti and will see its completion next winter the church authorities said There are 14 11 missionaries on the island Mr Fullmer was one ol oi the founders of Fullmer Brothers a local building contractors firm In 1941 he was elected president of the intermountain branch of Asso- Asso cited G General e n e era r a l I Contractors of America He is also a member of Salt Lake Kiwanis club In 1911 prior to his second mission he was married to the former Maud Hodgson In Salt Lake temple The have seven children and their family home is at 1329 Emerson ave The new mission president left Salt Lake City Saturday and will sail from Los Angeles April 28 |
