Show JAYCEES TO HOLD PRE - INDUCTION CLASSMONDAY The second in a series of pre-induction pre-induction classes for Bingham district men planning to enter the armed forces will be held at the Bingham Central school auditorium Monday evening, June 19, at 8 o'clock, Warren M. Woodward, chairman, announces. Mr. Woodward states that several qualified army and navy men will be in attendance and will be willing to answer all questions concerning the armed services. The general public, as well as all prospective draftees, is invited to attend this educational meeting. meet-ing. At the. regular semi-monthly Jaycee meeting held Monday evening, ev-ening, Ken Shulsen, co-chairman of the committee in charge of the ore specimen, museum and trophy tro-phy display to be placed in the new Bingham library, reported that doors are now being nlaced on eight cases and that the display dis-play should be open to the public July 1. Elliott W. Evans, treasurer of the Bingham Flying club, reported re-ported that the club has 18 members mem-bers at the present time and that two more members will be accepted. ac-cepted. Mr. Evans stated that several members have been taking tak-ing their lessons regularly. The Flying club members have their plane at No. 2 airport. At Monday's meeting President Presi-dent Bob Jimas reported that the Carnival dance held Saturday evening was a financial success. Mr. Jimas also named committees commit-tees to serve the Jaycees during the coming year and outlined an activity program to be followed during 1944-45. Mr. Jimas reported report-ed that Jaycees and Jay-C-Ettes are in charge of the Fifth War Loan drive and that a bond issuing issu-ing agency has been set up in the Union Drug store. Dan Delaney reported that Jaycees will play a softball game every Thursday evening at the Copperton stadium. Last Thursday Thurs-day Jaycees lost to Bingham Lions club 17-11. Games commence at 6:30 p.m. Members of the junior chamber cham-ber of commerce voted to sponsor a public health program in this district. A major project for this year is rat extermination. Utah state and Salt Lake county public pub-lic health officials will cooperate cooper-ate with the Jaycees in carrying out -the rat extermination program pro-gram in the fall. A permanent committee to work out public health problems has been set up by the Jaycees. Committeemen are: Joe Vranes, chairman; Eddie Ed-die Arata, Ralph Evans, Ken Shulsen, Leland G. Burress and Elliott W. Evans. . Jaycees will enter a float in the Fourth of July parade this year. Ken Shulsen was named chairman. ( Because a certain group ot young boys in Carr Fork have been unable to find a sponsor for a ball team on the Copperton summer playground, Jaycees gave Youth Welfare , Chairman Ken Shulsen authority to purchase pur-chase necessary equipment lor thThree new members were welcomed into the Jaycee organization organi-zation Monday evening.
