Ho was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, on tho 3rd day of August, .i by Patriarch James Kirkham; nud confirmed tho same day by Rider Kit Kendall. As soon ns ho was old enough, he entered the district schools, and started start-ed to lay the foundation o.f an education, educa-tion, that would bo required of him In tho battlo of life. lie was a diligent student and was well liked by all with whom he came, in contact. Ho passed through tho various grades or the Primary Association nud, up to tho tlmo or his death, was an ucHvo member oftha, Sunday School.
