O Knudsen Internationally known scientist of the University of ot Southern South South- ern California died Sunda Sunday at the family home in Provo of causes in incident incident incident in- in to age ge Mr Knudsen came to Utah as a member of Captain John Smiths Smith's team ox-team ox company after joining the L. L D D. S 8 church in Norway in iii 1864 He settled in Provo but was called to direct construction of the St. St George temple in 1874 returning here three years ears later Ho He was born at Norway July 18 1854 a son of Hans and Bergita Larsen Knudsen Ho He was married to Chesty Sward in the Salt Lako Lake Endowment house June 9 1877 Always active in church work Mr Knudsen served as a a missionary in Norway as bishop and choir leader of his local ward and as a a member of the stake high council He engaged in farming aided in organizing a number of large business business business busi busi- ness enterprises in Utah county an and served two terms as city council council- man Besides his wife and Dr Knudsen he is survived by three daughters Mrs Miles E. E Miller Salt Lake Lako City Mrs H. H T T. Reynolds Jr Springville and Mrs W. W D. D Rawson Los Angel Angeles Ange Ange- l les s two sons Heber A. A and Karl J J.
