C Adams vice president resident and general manager o cf the Gas ras Service company of Kansas City and nd Hugh Herndon the famous pilot were injured last night when their plane nosed over In a forced landing at Stratford Texas The plane said to have been piloted by y Major Carlos Reavis came down in n a l plowed field two miles mUes west of Stratford after running out of gaso gaso- line inc Adams received a broken arm and su suffered ered from shock Shaw received cuts and bruises and cracked ribs while Herndon and the pilot received only slight abrasions The landing gear and one wing were stripped from the plane Adams and Shaw were vere members of ofa a party of Cities Service officials who were vere making an air tour of oil fields in n the southwest traveling in n two chartered planes Shaw accompanied other mem members rs of ot the party who left at 10 a. a m m. for an inspection of the Panhandle fields Adams was left in a hospital here un un- un der den the care of a nurse |
