Show Patriotic Societies Urge Citizens To Display U. U S. S Flags Army Day While flags are being displayed throughout the city Wednesday in honor of Army day marking the fifteenth fifteenth fit fit- anniversary of the United States' States entry into the World war the Thirty eighth infantry will take part partin in exercises at Fort Douglas designed to carry to the public the message of oi the army in peacetime Patriotic organizations have urged citizens to display the flag and point out the following points for proper display The stars should be to the left looking look ing lag at the flag with the fabric floating floating float float- in ing to the right When hung vertically the stars should be bo in the upper left hand corner cor cor- nor nero looking at the emblem If H the flag is spread over a surface nothing may rest upon it but a Bible When displayed from a staff projecting pro pro- horizontally or at an angle from irom rom a window or balcony the union or the field of stars should go to the peak of the staff unless the emblem is at half mast masL If the flag is carried on automobIles automo- automo alles bIles the staff should be firmly affixed af at- fixed to the chassis or clamped to the radiator cap An air demonstration over the city by army planes at 1230 p. p m m. will open Wednesdays Wednesday's pro program ram Events at Fort Douglas will begin at 2 p p. p m They will include air ail corps formation flying showing of military equipment equipment equip equip- ment mounted exhibits public inspection inspection in in- of barracks a band concert infantry drill sham battle camp drill bayonet drill and stunt flying lying b by Lieutenant Lieutenant Lieu Lieu- tenant Clarence P.
