D Giles executive secretary sec sec- said Monday The executive committee already has authorized 12 markers for the 1932 season Mr Giles said 10 of which will be erected in Utah and two in Idaho Those in Idaho will be placed at historic Fort Hall in cooperation with the East Idaho area of the council of Boy Scouts and at Old Eagle Rock crossing on the Snake river near Idaho Falls in cooperation with the Teton Peaks council of Boy Scouts One of the 10 markers to be placed i in Utah will be a monument to Jim Bridger famed western frontiersman 1 land and trapper and will be erected on the Bear river near Bear River Cit City I in in commemoration of Bridgers Bridger's trip in 1824 when he discovered the Great Salt lake The other nine Utah markers mark mark- ers will be placed at various historical historical cal points in the state Mr Giles also announced that a committee meeting has been scheduled scheduled sched sched- for February 11 at the Hotel Utah to complete organization of committees com corn for tor the Brighton Pioneer Jubilee Jubilee Ju bilee celebration July 23 to 25 |
