Show -u Wardle-Friel Wedding Was Lovely Affair S A charming wedding of the past week was that of Miss Beatrice Wardle of Provo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. I. Wardle, and G. Lamar La-mar Friel, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Friel tjf this city, which took place last Friday evening in the Provo First ward. Approximately 150 guests attended at-tended the reception following the ceremony, which was performed by Bishop William Hadfield of Lehi, uncle of the bride, in the rotunda ro-tunda of the chapel in the presence of the two immediate families. The bride was gowned in a beautiful beau-tiful white moire taffeta, modeled with Queen Victoria collar and puff sleeves. Her fingertip veil of fine silk net, laced edged, was held in place by a band of seed pearls. She carried orchids and rosebuds. Receiving the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Wardle, Mr. and Mrs. Friel, and members of the wedding party. Mrs. George Price of Lehi and Mrs. Lambert Baker of Springville Spring-ville greeted the guests. Mrs. Boyd Rasmussen was matron of honor; Zetella Price, Mell and Zada Wardle, War-dle, were bridesmaids, with Veryl Price of Lehi, train-bearer. Taylor Wardle was best man. The entertainment consisted of a delightful program directed by Ronald Price of Orem, master of ceremonies, and dancing and refreshments. re-freshments. MRS. G. T. NELSON WAS HOSTESS FRnAY to members of her bridge club. Following a nicely arranged luncheon lunch-eon served at small tables, cards were enjoyed with prizes for the games being won by Mrs. Hazel Walker and Mrs. Faye Snelson. Mrs. Flora Maiben was a special guest. |
