Crandall Pederson, from Chicago, 111., in company with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence D. Crandall, arrived in Springville the past week to visit their sister, Mrs. Amasa Rowland, and family, and other relatives and friends. w m Dr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Pace spent a few days honeymooning the past week at Sun Valley, Idaho. m Mrs. E. S. Groesbeck and family fam-ily left Saturday morning to make their home in San Bernardino, Calif., for an indefinite period. Mr. and Mrs. John Workman and family of Salt Lake City, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Miller on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Lambert visited vis-ited one day of the past week with their daughter, Mrs. Arvil Bird, and family. They were en route from their home in St. George to Salt Lake City. Don Miller returned to his school duties at the Idaho Southern Branch in Pocatello, Idaho, after spending the past week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Miller, in this city. Mrs. Morgan Greenwood (Fern Simkins) is recovering at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Simkins, from a recent re-cent appendicitis operation. Mrs. Greenwood lives at Afton, Wyo. Frank Blackett, former resident, has returned to his home in May-wood, May-wood, Calif., following a month's visit with his daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Bulkley, and family, and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Emma Starr recently returned re-turned from Ogden, where she had spent about three months with her daughters. Among Springville people who attended operas presented by the San Carlo Opera company at Kingsbury hall last Saturday afternoon af-ternoon and evening, were Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Salisbury, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Packard, Howard Salisbury, Salis-bury, Mrs. Maurice Anderson, Mrs. Helen Thorpe, Teddy Thorpe, Mrs. Maurice Bird, Rea Straw, Martha aira, ana cermce jraiireymau. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Walker (Betty (Bet-ty Palfreyman) are here from California to visit relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Thorn spent the early part of the week with relatives and friends in Springville. Spring-ville. Mrs. Geneva Miller is visiting in Riverside, Calif., the guest of her brother, Bert Kindred, and family. She is also spending some time with her son, Wayne Miller, with the National Guard on the west coast. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Kindred and four children of Idaho Falls, Idaho, spent two days of the past week with Mr. and Mrs. John R. Kindred. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Johnson have returned from California, where they spent the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Roylance, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Roylance, Mrs. Mell Kelly and Mrs. Roy Cates were in Ogden Monday to attend funeral services for Ernest J. Wecker, a former resident of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Fifield and children of Heber City, Mr. and Mrs. Berne Kindred of Tooele, Mr. and Mrs. Creed Kindred and son, Jerry, of Provo, were Sunday guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kindred. Mr. and Mrs. Lee E. Davis and son, Ted, spent four days of the past week in Victor, Idaho, visiting visit-ing their son, Vern Lee, and wife, and daughter, Kathryn. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Lyall and three sons arrived in Schenectady, N. Y., Sunday to make their home. Mr. Lyall will be employed with the General Electric company. Mrs. Lyall was the former Lucy Wain-wright, Wain-wright, and Mr. Lyall is a son of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Lyall. En route to New York, the family visited vis-ited many places of interest. They have lived the past few years in Colorado. cast as a Broadway singer, William Wil-liam T. Orr as a reporter, and Don Beddoe as a news editor, with lesser roles filled by Walter Kings-ford, Kings-ford, Charles Dingle, Charles Hal-ton, Hal-ton, Joseph Downing, and Clyde Fillmore. |
