Show IfjewS YJoteA... Mrs. George Nelson was called to St. George last week because of the sudden illness of her mother, Mrs. Ethel W. Simkins, who had been living at St. George and doing do-ing temple work the past winter. Mrs. Nelson returned when her son, Grant, came from Fort Hol-abirt, Hol-abirt, Md., to spend a week furlough fur-lough in Springville before going overseas. Ernest Oakley has gone to Denver, Den-ver, Colo., to spend a few days with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. -Charles Turner and family. He accompanied his son Richard, who has just returned from a business trip to California and was enroute to Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Earl J. Prestwich are visiting here from Camp Roberts, Rob-erts, Ctlifornia, where Mr. Prestwich Prest-wich is stationed in the service. They are guests of Mrs. Prest-wich's Prest-wich's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Weight artd will also visit other relatives in American Fork. Mrs. Prei-.twich-, the former Joyce Weight, plans to stay in Springville, Spring-ville, while her husband is away. He will report on April 18 at Seattle, Washington and will leave shortly after for Alaska. - Robert Harrison spent two days of the past week in Springville, where he visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Harrison. He came west from Washington, D.C. on business for the government. With other governmental employees, em-ployees, he was working in Poca-tello Poca-tello and came by plane down to Springville. Ray Klauck left Saturday morning morn-ing for San Francisco, California, where he will take over a position as scrap buyer on the west coast for Columbia-Geneva Steel Co. Mr. and Mrs. Klauck plan to make their home in or near San Francisco. Fran-cisco. Mrs. Xi Child has gone to Albany, Al-bany, California to visit her daughter, Mra. Tess Tyler and family. Mr. Tyler had to undergo a iajor operation this week. |
