Show Newlyweds on Honeymoon in Calif.; To Make Their Home in Springville An announcement of interest to their many friends here is that of the marriage of Ivie Wimmer and Howard Thorpe both of Springville, which took place Sunday at noon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis E. Thorpe. The ceremony was performed by Bishop R. W. Bradford of the ls,t ward, in the presence of immediate family members. The new Mrs. Thorpe was attractively gowned in a pink afternoon af-ternoon dress with orchid accessories accessor-ies and she wore an orchid corsage for the wedding-. Immediately after the ceremony the bride and groom were honored with a wedding dinner with a few close relatives as guests. They included: in-cluded: Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Wimmer, Wim-mer, Mr. and Mrs. Ford Burt, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Burton of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Reynolds, Mrs. Lu Dean Stallings, Bishop and Mrs. R. W. Bradford, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Henningson and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Buchanan, the latter two couples of Manti. Pretty floral decorations, pink snapdragons and white carnations with pale green tapers centered the dining table and white and rod snaps were used in the entertaining entertain-ing rooms. During the afternoon other relatives rela-tives called to congratulate the newlyweds. They left shortly after on a wedding trip to southern California Cal-ifornia and upon their return will make their home in Springville, |
