Show Program Readied for Mendelssohn Concert Tonight 8 pm, Stake House The general public is reminded of the concert to be given this evening by the Mendelssohn Chorus Chor-us of Provo, under the direction of Elvis B. Terry, beginning at 8 p.m., in the Stake House. The program is being sponsored by the Adult Aaronic Priesthood and there is no charge for the entertainment. enter-tainment. Those who have heard the choral group before will make a special effort to attend. The program arranged for the evening, is as follows: "The Creation" by Richter; "This Is My Father's World", arranged ar-ranged by Ringwald, soloist, Boyd Clark; "Almighty God of Our Fathers," by James, male chorus; two numbers by Moroni Jensen; followed by the chorus singing "Cool Water" by Nolan with Harold Har-old Peterson, soloist; "Soldiers' Chorus" from Faust by Gounod; "Russian Picnic" by Enders with Reynold Heiner as solist. Two selections sel-ections will be played by Rella Griffith and Clara Anderson as a piano and organ duet. The group will then, sing "Morning Hymn" by Henschel and "Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes" by English with Kenneth Martin, soloist; "A Hunting Hunt-ing We Will Go" by Koutz. Two special selections will be presented by Aaron Hey followed by the chorus singing "John Peel," an old English hunting song by Andrews, An-drews, "With the Dawn" by Rubinstein, Rub-instein, "Morning," by Speaks, "The Sleigh" by Koutz. The following follow-ing alternates are listed: "You'll Never Walk Alone" by Rodgers, "Thou Art Repose" by Schubert, "The Green Cathedral" by Hahn and "De Animals A Comin' " by Bartholomew. |
