Show Aureole Club Begins Years' Program Mrs. Afton Palfreyman's home was the scene of an interesting and informative meeting of the Aureole Club Tuesday night. Mrs. Ruby Christensen an officer of the National Federated Club organization organiza-tion was the evening's speaker. She told of the accomplishments of Womens Clubs in the past 66 years and the plans for the future as well as the projects now in progress. Mrs. Christensen said, "the purpose of the General Federation Fed-eration is not to dictate but coordinate; coor-dinate; their motto, 'unity and diversity'." di-versity'." The nine departments bring knowledge as well as fellowship fellow-ship to the 11,000,000 women in the international organization. This year's theme is "Knowledge Is Power." President Presi-dent Afton Palfreyman conducted the business meeting as well as serving a delicious salad luncheon ably assisted by co-hostess and program chairman Elsa Oldroyd. |
