Show Mrs. Ronald Thorpe Is Club Hostess A . j Mrs. Ronald Thorpe entertained at her home last Friday afternoon for members of the Home Culture Club. The program was in charge of Mrs. Hugh Baxter.' Arnold Berge-son, Berge-son, Provo school teacher and candidate can-didate on the Democratic ticket for the position of representative from thei First District, spoke. He told of the life of Adlai Stevenson, Democratic - candidate for the ofice of president of the United States. Attending the meeting were 16 club members. Also Mrs. Harriet Nielson of Spanish Fork, Miss Edith Tommas of New York, sister sis-ter of Mrs.' Max Aleman; and Mrs. LaRae Stewart, who asisted her mother in serving a tasty luncheon lunch-eon at the close of the meeting. Program numbers included piano pia-no selections Dy Mrs. Mary Bird. President Cleonda Miner was in charge of the meeting. |
