Show CITY COUNCIL PLANS NEW IMPROVEMENTS At a meeting of the city council Monday night, it was decided to make application for additional PWA funds to continue the work at the tunnel in Spring Creek canyon can-yon to increase the culinary water supply. The project which calla for an expenditure of approximately approximate-ly $3000. would include the enlargement en-largement of three water pipe lines in the east and south section sec-tion of the city. The council also voted to open the city pasture on April 20, with the same price of $4.50 for cows and $6 for horses, to be charged for pasture tickets. Cattle must have been tested for Bang's disease dis-ease before being turned in the pasture, it has been ruled. Treatments Treat-ments for Anthrax will be made later in the season. Another item of interest which the council took up was arrangements arrange-ments for a new city dump ground, the purchase of which was made Tuesday. The grounds are located just south f the Evergreen cemetery ceme-tery in a large hollow which when filled will be covered with sand. Citizens are now asked to. haul garbage to the new grounds. , a. 1. |
