Show H, M. DOUGALL SERVICES HELD , HERE SUNDAY Well attended and impressive were funeral services conducted Sunday afternoon, in the Fourth ward chapel, for Hugh M. Doug-all, Doug-all, well known stockman and rancher of this community, who died unexpectedly of a heart attack at-tack near his ranch in Hobble Creek canyon, last Thursday. The services were in charge of Solon Wood of the ward bishopric. bish-opric. R. L. Mendenhall of Mapleton, Maple-ton, the Rev. J. A. Arthur of Payson, Bishop Leo Robertson of the Fourth ward, and John S-Groesbeck, S-Groesbeck, were the principal speakers, the latter giving a short history of Mr. Dougall's life. Music was rendered by Elmo Coffman and Helen Palfreyman, each of whom gave , a vocal solo, accompanied by Mrs. Mary Witney Wit-ney and Mrs. Lucille Bird, respectively, re-spectively, and by Dr. Gerrit de Jong of the B. Y. U., Provo, and Howard Kearns, each of whom rendered pipe organ numbers. The invocation was offered by Ernest Boyer arid the benediction by Peter Nieison. John S. Groesbeck Groes-beck dedicated the grave at the Evergreen cemetery. Born in Springville, December 1863, Mr. Dougall had lived here most of his life, taking a prominent prom-inent part in civic and political affairs of the vicinity. He was la son of Hugh M. and Mary C. Streeper Dougall, early Utah pioneers. pio-neers. - At an early age, he was associated, as-sociated, with his father in a sawmill and flour mill enterprise in Sanpete county. He later engaged en-gaged in railroad construction, doing much work throughout the western states. Mr. Dougall had served in the Springville city council. He was a member of the Macabecs lodge No. 14, at the time of his death. He married Rhoda Groesbeck, November 25, 1891, in Springville. Spring-ville. Surviving are his widow and one daughter, Catherine D.Wills, Los Angeles. Calif; a granddaughter, grand-daughter, two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Katherine D. Wood. John W.
