Show FORMER LOCAL RESIDENT DIES IN CALIFORNIA John P. Anderson, 75, former resident of this city, died Tuesday at Los Angeles, Calif., according to word received here. , Mr, Anderson was born in Ogden, December 15, 1859. He came to Springville as a young m:in and worked as a carpenter, building many homes and public buildings in this city. He served as city justice of the peace from 1905 to 190S. He was marieid to Kate Bird in 1SS1. She died in 1901, and he later married Cora Tew. Mr. Anderson An-derson lived at Momoth for some time before going to California. Surviving are a son and five daughters: John Anderson, Bing- ham; Mrs. Ida Grady, Hollywood. Holly-wood. Calif., by his first marriage; mar-riage; Mrs. Floyd Brough, Tooele; Mrs. Winnifrcd Lupe. Glendale, Calif.; Mrs. Ethel Young, .Salt Lake; Mrs. Louise- Anaima, Los Angeles. Calif., by his latter marriage; mar-riage; also 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the First ward chapel Friday, at 2 p. m. with burial in the Evergreen Ever-green cemetery. The body will arrive ' here Thursday morning, and friends may call at the A. Y. Wheeler motuary, prior to the services. |
