Show High School , News Items BY CLARA HARMER The Future Famer boys7 who went to California to attend the Inter-state Junior Livestock show, arrived home Saturday, March 31. They are quite proud of the fact that they received two honors Merlyn Houtz received second prize in the Aberdeen-Angus class and Carl Bird received third in the shorthorn class. One of the biggest events of the season the Senior hop will be held Friday April 13. Grant Alleman, Alle-man, class president,1 Is in charge of the arrangements'. From reports, re-ports, they are working hard to make it an outstanding event of the year. Veda Hicks of Provo won first place in the accuracy contest in typesetting with 1 erro and a net' of 66 words. Fen Ostler of Springville Spring-ville came second with 3 errors and a net of 52 words. Springville was well represented in both the shorthand and typewriting type-writing contests. At the opening program of the art exhibit for students, Professor Harold Clark of the B. Y. U. gave a very interesting talk on art. Other numbers on the program pro-gram were two selections by the orchestra and a song by the' mixed quartet. |
