Thf marriage of Miss Raynor Park, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Park of Provo, to U Woodrow lialliehl, sun of Mrs. Sarah Hatfield Hat-field of this city, took place Wed-n.'Mday, Wed-n.'Mday, at the home of the bride's parents. Bishop A. E. Eves of the Provo Third ward performed the ceremony at 6 o'clock, in the pres-ence pres-ence of the family and immediate friends. A wedding dinner fol- lowed, being served to abotft 15 guests. The young couple will make their home in this city. The bride was tendered a shower Tuesday Tues-day evening at her home, with about 'M guests in attendance Members of the L-8 club recently returned from a delightful outing at Wildwood, Provo canyon. The group included Miss Mary Whiting, Whit-ing, Miss Gene Ullock, Miss Tone Averutt, Miss Aleen Condie, Miss Ruth Baxter and Miss Marie Rivers. Mi's. Gertrude Lloynds and Miss Josephine Ecker were guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Brown at Copperton. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anderson of Salt Lake City, spent a few days of the past week in Springville Spring-ville with the latter's sister, Mrs F'rank Salisbury and family. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Jacobsen and family have returned from a delightful vacation trip to Zion and Bryce canyons and other places of interest in southern Utah. They also attended the annual Jacobsen reunion held at Oak Creek canyon. Mrs. Philda. Finley entertained a number of friends at a bridge party at her home Thursday night. High score prizes for the evening went to Mrs. Lewis Clegg and Mrs Coe Nelson. Other guests in attendance were Mrs. Isabel Brown, Mrs. Lee Sumsion, Mrs. Esther Johnson, Mrs. Melba Pennington, Pen-nington, Mrs. Hazel Harrison, Mrs. Vera Perham, Mrs. Ora Rowland, Mrs. Clifford Jex, Mrs. Floss Phillips, Mrs Cleonda Miner. A delicious luncheon was served by the hostess at the close of the party. Mrs. Rea Straw and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Sumsion and children, of this city, spent several days of the past week on a vacation trip to Yellowstone National park. Mr. and Mrs. Will Grooms and children recently returned from a vacation trip to the Payette lakes near Payette' Idaho. They also visited Captain and Mrs Floyd j W. Goates at the CCC camp ir j that vicinity, and spent some time I -at other interesting places ir Idaho. A group of friends enjoyed a canyon party at Kelley's Grove Wednesday. Lunch and ball games were features with the following in attendance, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bird. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hutchinson, Mr and Mrs. Lewis Childs, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Anderson, An-derson, Mr. and Mrs. Oakes, Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Bradford, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jensen Miss Elsie Johnson of Oakland, Calif., was the guest Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johnson in this city. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Jacobsen en-1 en-1 tertained at dinner at their home Thursday, for Mr. and Mrs O. i W. Hart of Provo, and Mrs. Roy Frisby of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Nielson of this city had as their guest the past week, Mr. Nieisons mother, Mrs. A. J Nielson of La Jara, Colorado. She plans to visit relatives at Blanding, Utah, before reutrning to her home. Mrs. Arvil Bird was hostess to the Busy Finger club at a canyon party at Sulphur Springs, Wednesday afternoon. Ball games, sewing ,and social chat were enjoyed en-joyed together with a delicious luncheon. Seven club members j and six guests were in attendance. attend-ance.
