Show Many Notables Invited; Program Set For 3 P.M. Governor's day at the fourteenth annual national high school art exhibit, is scheduled for Sunday, Aprl 28, Principal W. W. Borck-bank, Borck-bank, president of the art association associat-ion announces. Invitations have been sent to Governor Henry H. Blood, Superintendent, L. John Nuttall of Salt Lake City schools and other leading educators of the state, in addition to all individuals in-dividuals who have fostered the art movement here, to attend the . art show and informal program beginning at 3 p. m. Short talks will be given by the visiting officials and the hgh school will furnish music. The art show will be open until April 30, the closing program being be-ing scheduled for 3 p. m. that day. under direction of J. F. Wingate secretary of the art association. With the closing date drawing near, interest is at a high pitch at the high school in the selection select-ion of an art queen to unveil the prize winning picture at the close of the exhibit. The popularity contest to select a candidate for this honor has been going on for several months. Representatives from whom the art queen will be selected are, Helen Averett, seniors; Bernice Johnson, juniors; Louise Evans, sophomore; Elaine Nielson, freshman; fresh-man; Jane Lee Eighth grade; Nona Marshbanks, Seventh grade. |
