Show LOWER COURT BILL OKEIIED WASHINGTON, Aug'. 10 (IIP) qi,natr-housc conferees today reached agreement on the four-point four-point lower court procedure bill. Sen. " iaid he wouUl carry the report : 'o the senate floor later today and ask immediate consideration. The bill carries no reference to the supreme court. Conferees agreed today on the working of the portion or the measure giving the attorney general gen-eral authority to intervene in cases aflecting the constitutionality constitution-ality of a federal statute. This section now states that whenever such constitutionality is questioned in a measure "affecting "af-fecting the public interest" the attorney general "must be notified" noti-fied" by the court and thereafter may intervene in the public inter' est. |
